From
December 2005 there will be total number of 18 HPUs and 125 Standard Components on
the NSW Health Facility Guidelines (HFG) website.
In the
immediate future, the next task of the NSW HFG development team is to expand the
number of available NSW HFG Standard Components including associated Room Data
and Room Layout Sheets. The revised NSW Health Facility Guidelines will be
used by CHAA to launch the Australasian HFGs in March 2006.
COMING UP!
The team is now working on the
text for the following Health Planning Units (HPU), and additional Standard
Components not covered in the current set of guidelines, for issue in 2006.
Additional units may be added to this list following development of the workplan
for both the NSW and Australasian HFG projects early in 2006.
- Oral Health unit
- Pathology Unit
- Ambulance Station Unit
- Rural Health Unit
- Nuclear Medicine Unit
- Sterilising Unit
The team is also working on a
nationally focused engineering services guideline (Part E of these guidelines)
which will incorporate parts of various existing guidelines including the
current Victorian guidelines Part E, the NSW TS 11 Engineering Services
guideline and the new Western Australian Engineering Services guidelines. This
like many of the next round of guideline components units will be developed
using a nationally focused process, and will then also be incorporated into the
Australasian HFG which will be available eventually via a separate (linked)
website.
Please continue to check this
website for advice regarding release dates for the next version of the NSW HFG
and for the first release of the Australasian HFG in 2006.
