Health Facility Briefing System (HFBS)
The NSW Health Facility Briefing System (HFBS) has been
developed as an electronic interface to the NSW HFG in the
briefing of NSW Health capital projects.
The implementation of this briefing system will provide an
opportunity for NSW Health Industry Group to:
-
Implement a consistent statewide approach to briefing
the standards for Health facility design.
-
Speed up the project scoping process, achieving earlier
user confidence in the proposed facility.
-
Provide a set of standardised components of up to 30%
of the current design effort, generally repeated on each project.
-
Improve design risk management and adopt the strategic
procurement initiatives set out in the HBI/CBI program (innovation).
-
Make a significant contribution to the Asset
Procurement Reform Program and value for money outcomes.
The use of the HFBS is part of the Asset Procurement Reform
Program initiatives for
achievement of these targets and its use will
be required on all NSW Health projects.
