QSOA stands for Quick Schedule of Accommodation.

QSOA is a Module of the HFBS (Health Facility Briefing System) Web-based suite of applications for the Briefing, Planning and Design of Healthcare Facilities. The HFBS and QSOA can also be used for other building types, when necessary. However, they are optimised for the complexity of healthcare facilities.

With QSOA for IPAD, you can gain access to your existing (HFBS) Healthcare projects when connected to WiFi or mobile network with internet connection. This means that you need to have an existing HFBS Registration and account. With QSOA you can do the following:

  • Load the Project and any Milestones
  • View, edit and save the briefing information
  • Access the relevant Standards, Guidelines and your Reference Projects
  • Drag and drop from the above right into your own project
  • Drag Whole rooms or Whole departments

Edit any of the following:

  • Project, Department or Room Primary Information
  • Room Fabric and Finishes
  • Furniture and Fittings (FF)
  • Fixtures and Equipment
  • Building Services

Each section of the QSOA for IPAD has its own Live menu system. You can drag and drop menu items right into the project just as the web version. Also see How to Use.

Contents of the room remain editable including selections, remarks, item groups etc.

A Milestone is a complete copy of a Project at a point in its history. Each project has at least one Milestone called “Default”. All Milestones remain editable just like the real project. It is recommended at at key project stages such as completion of Briefing or Schematic Design, a copy of the project be made as a Milestone under a recognizable name.

The process for creating a Milestone is very similar to creating a new project, except the name of the new project will be the same as the current project but with a new Milestone name. Here is the summary of the process:

  • On MS Explorer go to HFBS Home Page at: www.healthdesign.com.au
  • On the HFBS Home Page and Login.
  • Inside HFBS, click “Data>New Project”
  • Select Copy/Import New Milestone, then select your Source Project
  • Follow instructions to create a new Milestone and pay subscription costs just like a project
  • Come back to IPAD, start QSOA for IPAD, Login, select your Domain, then find your New Project and new Milestone

 QSOA Lite

Back to Menu

QSOA LITE for IPAD is fully functional and editable as described above. The only restriction of QSOA for IPAD LITE. is that you cannot Register and create a personal HFBS Account, create a new project or or copy a new Milestone on IPAD. All of these functions need to be performed on the web before using QSOA LITE for IPAD..

In short this version is for the the existing HFBS account holders who are already heavy users of the system including QSOA  on the web. The IPAD version will provide these existing users the benefit of total mobility and continuous live and editable access to all of their projects anywhere on site or at a meeting with the client.

You can save the changes on IPAD and then follow through on the PC using the web version. The data source is the same and both systems are interchangeable.

If you need to be able to create a new personal account, register a new project or copy into a new Milestone, you will need the Pro Version.

 QSOA Pro

Back to Menu

QSOA PRO for IPAD has all the functionality of the LITE version mentioned above and to the left. In addition, you can create a new user account without the need to have an existing account on the HFBS web version. You can also create an unlimited number of new projects right on the tablet or copy into an unlimited number of Project Milestones.

Over time, all the features of the web version of the HFBS QSOA will be ported to the PRO version of QSOA for IPAD.

By comparison, the LITE version will always have the basic functionality and depend on an existing web account.

Furthermore, most of the other HFBS modules are being ported to IPAD. QSOA for IPAD PRO will link with these modules for the best user experience.

QSOA PRO for IPAD is due for release late in 2013. If you are a heavy user of the HFBS, we recommend that you do not wait. get and use the LITE version now. You will be impressed with the feature list even in a LITE version,
